What's Inside My Summer Escapade Fabbag | Unboxing & Review

Fabbag Summer Escapade Edition

It has been quite some months that I have ordered myself a Fabbag, a monthly Beauty Subscription bag [known as Velvette Hitherto]. No, no, this not a promotional post but the bag is very much self-sponsored, so are the views, as always.

As you know, I have started doing some videos on Youtube off-late. I was ideating for my videos for the month of May and that's when a general marketing mail from the Fabbag landed in my inbox. Taking it as a sign, I went ahead and booked myself an edition of "Summer Escapade", the theme of the month. Unlike MEB, it took a longer time to come but it came intact much before the end of May.

The theme for the month was aptly titled as "Summer Escapade" and the edition came in palm size bags in colors Orange, Green, and Pink.

Here's how my bag looked.

As proposed, I took it to the Youtube and you can find the video here-

What's Inside my Fabbag May 2016
This month's bag was a healthy mix of face products ranging from skincare to makeup. Here's what I got inside my Fabbag. I have showcased them on my video, hope you will check it out.

1) Nyassa Tea Tree Facewash: Travel Size
I recalled using Nyassa Loofah Soap that was sampled in Men's Fabbag and found it quite soothing and nice. Yet to try this one

2) The Nature's Co White Tea Night Cream- Deluxe Sample 20 ml

3) Votre Face Serum (Full Size 12ml @ Rs 1670)

4) Seasoul Dual Eyeshadow Pallette SS14 (Full size @ Rs 900): It is a 4g product that comes in a compact case with a mirror. I got the shade in gold and brown [a good respite from blue and purple eyeshadows that I do not wear]. The color looks rich and is apt for parties/nightwear. The only thing is that it doesn't comes with a brush, unlike my Victoria Secret Makeup pallette.

So there are 2 deluxe samples and 2 full size products in this month's fabbag.

Overall, the bag is a good buy. For a monthly subscription of Rs 599, you get 2 full sized products worth 1670+ 900 = 2570 plus 2 deluxe sample size products from well known brands.

Why beauty Subscription bag
If you like trying out new brands every month and check their suitability befor einvesting your money in it, subscription bags are the answer that you are looking for. However, you may get many product samples in market. however, the excitement of getting a new themed bag at your doorstep is a differnet feeling, as long as brands do justice to it. It is not that every subscription bag brand may do justice to it. Hence you need to invest analyzing the tradeoff between the money you are paying and goods you are getting.

Haute Kutir Verdict: I liked this month's Fabbag for the simple value it offered and customization it allowed. I saw many buyers receiving Inveda Sunscreen in their fabbags. It is a product like any other sunscreen with SPF 50 that I did not want to use [I tried using this product when it was launched but it burnt my skin]. When I wrote to Fabbag team to skip this product from my bag, they graciously accepted and replaced it with Votre Serum, a product that I wanted to try.

I also liked the bright Orange color pouch in transparent cover and am going to use it for storing some beauty products. Unlike MEB, it is neither bulkier, nor require a lot of space but makes a good option for gifting/storing.

Though I have not got any fab post and wonder if they stopped publishing them.

My rating: 4/5
