Haute Kutir on #LakmeFashionWeek 2014 Summer Resort

#LakmeFashionWeek2014 Summer Resort was special for more ways than one.

One, it was my first Fashion Week while being in Mumbai that I finally managed attending. Normally, something always comes at last moment and I have to scoot out.

Two, I have designed for this #LFW and guess what? My first ever design was selected and show cased on the ramp amidst 100s of others. The Theme was #HighStreetStyle

Three, it was not just my design but I, yours truly too walked the ramp with my muse who happily Flaunted my design. My lovely muse was, ace model- Satrupa Pyne. Yes, she is gorgeous and a very warm person.

Four, post my ramp walk, I got few accolades from certain buyers for my design and their good compliment made my day.

Here's the look that I created for Satrupa-

The bell skirt that Satrupa is wearing is the flavor of season and the silhouettes goes very well with different figures. Have you got a bell skirt for self yet? If  not check and get one today!

Well this was my second design for Jabong as I was told that the first was sold-off and I was requested to create another one in that day's time [shuffling between making company's revenue projections and office throw ball match for all women]. I happily obliged as the looks needed to be created and sent to the stylist for fitting and transit.

You can check my formal designs here, here and here

I kept the look minimal with lesser accessories and focused more on chic, suave, summer dressing for street style. When Satrupa told me, that she liked my design esp the Vero Moda shirt that I have chosen for, I had another reason to be happy and stretch my smile from lips to ears :)

Here I am, with my muse Satrupa, doing the cursory- walking the ramp for designer & model duo.

What I wore for LFW-

Top: Kaftaan
Jean: W
Shoes: Reebok Supernova
Neck String: Self
Watch: Espirit

The hair and make up was done at the venue. The back stage was quite a fun and I met some real good make up artists who diligently maneuver eye-lip-face make up among the models like Carol Gracias, Shweta Salve, Sheuli Dandekar, Pallavi Sharda, Adah Sharma, another blogger, myself and others. The backstage was quite a fun and I share the pictures and other foo-fraw, soon with you.

Here's The final Video of the show-

I was first hesitant about walking with my muse. But then with a little inspiration from a friend there, I took the plunge and so glad that I did it. Well well...if you ask me it is not just a good fun but a lot of hard work goes behind creating, managing and successfully concluding these events. I had a good time spend there. I also attended few other shows like Nikhil and Shantanu's "The Shadows Within" with Nokia. Anushree Reddy, Arpita Mehta and others. I will soon post glimpses from those shows including my favorite designs. Also, some of my favorite celebrity show stoppers and their designs, this season. Stay Tuned!
