In the previous post we learnt that India is the largest guzzler for the whisky and how it is one of the fastest growing whisky markets in world. The growth is well contributed by USL flagship brand- Black Dog which accorded 49% in last 5 years.

Here's a brief history of this brand-

Black Dog is a brand of Scotch Whisky, distilled, aged and blended in Scotland by United Spirits Limited. It was launched in 1883, with the name Millard Black Dog. The whisky was named by Walter Millard, a Scot from East India Company, who is known to have brought Whisky to India. Here's more about it-

Type- Scotch Whisky
Manufacturer- USL [United Spirits Ltd]
Alcohol by Volume- 42.8%
Color- Amber
Flavor- Matured wood, Toasted malt, mild honey sweetness, delicate butterscotch

Black Dog blends have been created by the master blender Mr. Richard Paterson.

Introducing Black Dog TGR

The existing Black Dog range comprises of-
Black Dog Gold Reserve 12 YO
Black Dog Black reserve

Black Dog Triple Gold Reserve or TGR as the name suggests is the only blended scotch that is produced involving a triple maturation process. TGR is available in all pack sizes- 1 ltr, 750 ml, 375ml, 180 ml and 60ml.
